So word comes today that concept art has been leaked showing the stype of the new Freddy Kruger. Here is the photo in question.
So here is the question. Is it real? Where did it come from? Well, we can answer at least one of those questions. Our source tell us that this photo is in fact NOT real at all. In fact, our source mentioned that this was way off from what was being discussed in terms of the look.
So with that I did a little investigating, trying to find the photo's true origin, and I confirmed it was indeed a fake. Just another manip posing as a real leak. Convincing? Sure, I bit the hook for a minute, but I also had suspicions as well.
Turns out this is a popular photo on the net, particularly for manips.
Anyways, stay tuned for more on this and other stories!

No, Watchmen never had a Saturday Morning cartoon, but if it did, it would have probably ended up like the video below. Warning, you may die laughing!
You simply have to see this hilarious rap video about the WATCHMEN graphic novel from 1985! Now all wee need is a current remake video with Manhattan and Spectre doing the "Stanky Leg". LMAO!
So word is that the new Trek trailer was SUPPOSED to be in front of Watchmen, but many theaters nationwide do not have this particular trailer even in their movie house...which leads us to wonder what the hell happened?
Well, thanks to someone out there in internet land, we now have the full NEW trailer for the upcoming J.J. Abrahms epic remake-quel, and you can see it below in all it's awesome glory!
Check out this hilarious animated short exploring what Christian Bale's rant would have looked like on the set of Batman.
First, I'll show you the posters, which are causing quite a buzz.
Pretty nice, right? Well our source tell us that these are not the official posters, but something a fan made. Dissapointing. However, this was one talented fan! Perhaps the marketing director should speak with whomever made them. Anyways, our source also tells us the official "teaser" poster should be out relatively soon.
Korean virtuoso Zack Kim is one of the best musicians in the world. He plays dual melodies on two guitars AT THE SAME TIME! This guy is absolutely amazing. You have never seen anything like this before... If you don't believe me, watch these two videos I have selected from his collection.

We already gave you a statement from a Killzone 2 dev stating the controls were perfect and that nothing was going to change. Now just one day later, it seems they may be changing their mind. The following was posted this morning by a different dev:
we've identified and fixed the bug to do with the boost medal not being awarded. It will go into a patch we are working on at present, but there is a workaround in the mean time to get it. Simply ensure that you are the Game Creator rather than client and you'll be awarded it.
Network Errors/Honor Ranks
We are also looking at fixing a good bunch of the network errors and are looking into the complaints about the Honor Ranks as well as a couple of other bits and pieces. We'll provide a list of fixes when we are close to releasing the patch.
We're working on a permanent solution for the bots stat padding and have some internal solutions that we're going to work on implementing. We'll let you know what those are when we've got the patch together and the solution implemented.
We will NOT be wiping ALL stats and padders will be looked at individually by the moderators.
www.killzone.com is being sorted out today to deal with the massive traffic its been facing and hope to have some long-term solutions in place shortly.
The stats are currently empty on the site and will be repopulated today.
We have not stopped looking into the complaints and will see what we can do about it. Any possible changes will have to be carefully implemented and tested before being deployed though.
We have identified the issue where sometimes the C4 charge in Search and Destroy will not disarm. Will be fixed with the next update.
Shotgun Aim Assist
Investigating the problem and will patch it up.
Sometimes the clan that does not turn up for a match is awarded the win under specific circumstances. Will be patched ASAP.
Battle Replay for Map 8 - Corinth Crossing
The BR on www.killzone.com is not quite right and will be fixed soon.
Was found not to be functioning correctly. Will be fixed in the next patch.
Crash when using Saboteur disguise in certain situations. Will be fixed in the next patch.
Infrequent crash when trying to start a game with an empty game name. Will be fixed soon.
There is an issue with the Assassination target HUD icon displaying when playing as a Medic. Investigating and will be fixed.
Thanks and apologies if I am not responding to all questions, PMs and threads. There are simply not enough hours in the day to help all of you out and I have to work on the issues themselves. So please stay calm and sensible and everything will get fixed up soon. As you can see we've fixed up a bunch of the problems you have encountered as well as a couple more you might not be aware of. The important thing is to be patient. Any patches have to be carefully implement to ensure that no additional issues are introduced."
Notice two things, which I have bolded for you. First, that they have changed their mind and decided not to wipe stats, and second, and most important, now all of a sudden a day later they are interested in fixing the controls. Hold up, wait a minute. I thought they said no problem existed? I thought just yesterday they said they wouldn't be changing ANYTHING. So while this list seems to be full of helpful fixes, who knows what part of their word they will go back on now. In the course of one day, they have proven to be quite untrustworthy. Lie much?
And why no mention of the motion sickness? GG, you have a lot of work to do. Stop lying, pull your head out of your ass, make up your mind already, AND FINISH THIS UNFINISHED GAME LIKE YOU SHOULD HAVE DONE IN BETA! Btw, why wasn't all this shit fixed in Beta? Good question. Stay tuned for more!
Guerrilla Games released a statement regarding the horrid controls of Killzone 2, and it is not gonna make you happy. Basically GG is telling you all to fuck off, it's all in your head.
"After carefully looking into this, reading the posts, talking to a lot of you directly and analysing the controls at GG we have come to the conclusion that there are no changes required to the system. If at all, any changes to the controls would put the majority of people who have not had problems or have adapted out of whack, which may be more serious. Killzone 2 is a weighty, slower, more tactical first person experience that focuses on immersion. It is not a twitchy, split-second gun-wielding experience like some shooters. Also, the online experience is quicker as we’ve made the controls and animations a little faster during design.
I want to thank you all for your often constructive feedback, both positive and negative and we’ll continue to take it all on board to help us make better games."
So there you have it, straight from the horse's mouth. No fix, fuck us. However, Lair had issues that it's devs said wouldn't be fixed or "patched", and look what happened. To me, the above response sounds arrogant and stubborn, and I hope you angry gamers out there give them a piece of your mind! Stay tuned for more!
We've already talked about this film, in fact we brought you an early shot of the film's alien species. Today, we bring you an awesome photo from the set, one of an alien tree from the backlot, and an all new, cleaner image of the film's alien species via concept art, which looks exactly like the shot we showed you before! Enjoy!
If you were at Comic-con, you probably saw a lot of stuff from the upcoming sci-film District 9 (aka D-9). Well, we aren't too sure what to make of this film, other than it seems to be based off of the director's previous short film about aliens in South Africa. Here is that film:
The marketing for District 9 definately leads into that. Look at some of these shots that have tricked out since Comic-con:
Well, now you can take it one step further, by visiting the following sites, which create kind of an ARG a a viral campaign for the film:
I guess final judgement will have to be reserved for when the film hits, sometime this fall. Tenative date is August 14th!
The Wachowski produced action epic NINJA ASSASSIN, shown at this last year's Comic-Con, is on it's way to theaters! We have been given a very vague June 1st 2009 release date, but our close source tells us the film may actually hit the US sooner, possibly mid-May.
For those living under a rock, this film is a Wachowski labor of love, much like the underrated "V for Vendetta". In fact, the same director is doing this film! Also returning to the Wachowskis is Korean pop idol Rain, who previously worked with them on the film "Speed Racer".
Not much has been leaked out about this film, you know the Wachowskis and their secrecy, but what HAS been put out there, we bring to you HERE! Enjoy, and stay tuned We hear the official trailer is due out ANY DAY NOW!
Since many people haven't been able to even load up the seriously slow and poorly designed Killzone 2 website, I decided to post this here. Ebolt recently wrote the following:
"Hey Killzone players! We launched a hotfix patch today and you guys might be wondering why we took out bots! Let me explain in FAQ form!
Online bots were cool, why take them out?
They were cool indeed! However, players started using them to 'pad' their stats and ranked up insanely quick. To prevent the entire community of doing so, we have temporarily removed them from Online. You can still play them in Skirmish mode!
Are you going to bring them back?
Yes we definitely are! This patch was a hotfix, meaning it was a quick and dirty temporary fix! We are hard at work for a proper fix and you will see Online bots return very soon!
Why didn't you prevent this from happening, you bunch of dutch idiots?
We did not test bots in the Public Beta and honestly, it bit us in the ass! My personal apologies!
What about people who already padded their stats?
We are investigating if we can rectify those accounts but I cannot say much about that yet. Keep checking this forum for updates!"
So there you have it. They admitted they didn't test this HUGE flaw in beta...WTF guys? Were your headsup your asses or what? Oh, and stat padded accts, beware! You are losing your stats!
Today, I break to you all another story regarding the overhyped PS3 game Killzone 2. Since the game's launch, numerous threads across the internet have erupted, with gamers claiming they cannot even play the game because it gives them motion sickness.
I have visited forums across the net, from Sony's own to GameFAQs and IGN. I have to say it is stunning how many people are reporting these issues.
"This is the first time in twenty years of gaming that a game has made me feel so badly that I have to stop playing it.The controls combined with the painful blur and framerate drops do a number on my head that lasts for an hour or more after I stop playing." describes one gamer.
Another gamer says "well, after playing the demo and getting simulation sickness from it again, I cancelled my preorder of KZ2. It's ridiculous that such a small, meaningless feature like head bobbing is forcing me to not play one of the biggest releases the PS3 will ever see."
This is obviously a serious issue with this game, one that needs to be fixed in order to save some of the credibility of it's overfluffed paid reviews.
UPDATE: We are also receiving reports of serious eye strain and sore eyes from these same threads across the net. I believe the two issues are connected. I am currently loking deeper into this.
Have you experienced motion sickness or "simulation" sickness? Tell us about it here in our comments section, and stay tuned for more on this as it breaks!
I broke the story yesterday about how it was possible to get max rank in KZ2's multi-player in less than 5 hours. The method involved using bots in ranked online matches. Why bots were ever allowed in ranked matches to begin with is beyond me.
Today, Guerrilla Games released the following statement regarding the new patch that just went live.
"We’re disabling the ability to add bots to online games as a temporary measure against rank-up abuse. A permanent solution is forthcoming."
So those miffed at the game for this particular reason should be able to rest at ease.

So Killzone 2 has garnered quite an opening in terms of paid reviews. Metacritic shows a 91 at the moment, with a lot of paid magazines and sites giving it a perfect score. However, this game is definately not perfect. This is proof positive that most paid reviewers are nothing more than prostitutes...giving out favorable reviews for cash or prizes.
The issue lies in the fact that the game is simply not as good as the reviewers make it out to be, and the shame is, it's growing more and more evident to those who have gotten the game early. Here, I will lay out why this game does not deserve a perfect score.
1. The graphics. Yes, they are damn fine graphics...but this one aspect of the game is not enough to hold the whole thing up to a perfect score. Are they the best graphics ever? No. Blurry textures, some slowdown, and some clipping show that this game was a tad on the rushed side. Corners were cut to make the deadline.
2. The controls. Yes, they are "laggy" and unresponsive. GG has claimed this is intended, though a recent video released shows it is nothing more than sloppy development. See our article on the controls for more.
3. The length. Very short, even by FPS standards. I have witnessed with my own eyes a completion of the story at 4 hours 45 mins. This rivals Prey as one of the shortest FPS released.
4. The story. Very lacking, with very little to lead people into this game who have not played KZ1. Even those that did beat KZ1 may need a refresher depending on how long ago they played it. In this day an age a completely connected sequel needs to have some sort of cohesive lead in.
5. The voice acting. Worse than most B movies, though this is nothing new in the video game world. However, with a game of this "caliber", more attention should have been paid to production quality. Developer's wives/girlfriends do NOT make good voice actors. Sorry GG.
6. The multi-player. Severely lacking all around. A loose and easily exploitable ranking system top the bad issues with this aspect of the game (see out article with proof of the broken ranking). Obviously intended to be a slow paced tactical squad game online, instead players noobify themselves by going Rambo, then dying, therefore hurting your team. No one uses cover, everyone grenade spams. Some match types are over so fast you wonder if you actually just played a match. Generic and boring match types do nothing to help this situation either. Oh, and guess what? NO PARTY MAKING SYSTEM IN PLACE! WTF guys, this should be standard at this point.
Overall, this game feels very rushed, unfinished, unrefined. Fanboys and people paid to give good reviews will say otherwise, but this is not the shooter we were promised. It isn't even close. Maybe a few patches down the road, with a retail price drop and some DLC will change things a bit, but as it stands now, the multi-player in this game can't hold up to the likes of COD, Warhawk, Halo, and other modern online shooters. The single player experience just isn't long enough or fulfilling enough to warrant a $60 purchase, right in the middle of these hard economic times.
My opinion: PASS (or rent it...you'll beat SP before the game is even due back)
Well, like the title of this post says, Killzone 2's multi-player is somewhat lacking, with players being able to achieve the highest online rank in 5 hours or less. This is not the only issue with the multi-player, but definately something that is BROKEN and should be fixed.
Stay tuned for our UNBIASED and UNPAID review of the game, coming shortly...
So you've heard all the hype and hoola surrounding Killzone 2...but then you hear from people who aren't paid for their reviews that the controls suck ass. Who to believe? Well, I can guarantee you that the controls are faulty, and someone on YouTube helps solidify this fact in a very revealing video.
"The higher the deadzone, the further you have to move your sticks from their center to get them to register an action on screen. The lower you set it the more sensitive and responsive the sticks will become and the distance you have to move them from their center becomes little to none."
So the problem is with a faulty "dead zone". Watch the vid, play the demo, and see for yourself.
