Earlier we reported that reserving your copy of COD4 at a GameStop or EBGames would net you a beta code on the spot. We have since learned that this is not entirely true.

Each store received a packet of slips, but the slips do not contain a code. Instead, COD4 reserves are required to give their e-mail at the time of reservation so the code can be mailed to them. It is no certain how long it will take to receive your code.

This is most certainly part of GameStop Inc.'s recent push to gather customer's e-mail addresses. Will they sel your info? Probably not, but be expecting lots of e-mail ads from GameStop.

To be fair, GameStop doesn't JUST send ads. They occassionally send e-mail only coupons that you can print out and bring to the store for discounts.

Anyways, there ya have it!

When Wesley Snipes was indicted last year on Federal tax evasion charges, he was in Africa, Namibia to be precise, filming The Gallowwalkers. He decided of course to stay and finish the film before turning himself in.

So what was this film? Initially the press had it all wrong. They were saying it was a cowboy film. Well they were only half right. You see, this film is about a gunman who has a curse. Whoever dies by his hand returns from the dead. The film is about the gunman trying to find help in disposing of the undead permanently.

Previously called The Wretched, and starring Chow Yun Fat, the film went through a redesign and recast after Chow backed out. The poster below was the initial design when Chow was aboard.

After Chow left, they needed another action star, and I guess to them Wesley fit the bill. After all, he was awesome in the Blade films. Wesley plays the lead of course, and from his costumery, he looks to play the part well. I just hope he gets to work in some of his martial arts somehow.

There is also a prequel comic coming out, with cover art done by Timothy Bradstreet. You can see this below.

Pretty awesome, eh? This film is still slated for a 2008 theatrical release, though with Snipes' trial starting in October of this year, it is uncertain how that will affect the film, if at all. Stay tuned for more on this film as we get it!

No sooner had Halo 3 hit stores yesterday, then did the stories of people claiming to get the game early. Get this, every single report I have heard now (almost a dozen) were from GAMESTOP or EBGAMES stores. You'll note that we recently told you of what may happen to the employee who sells it, let alone even opens the box.

And you have to admit, with posts like the one below from Craig's List, and all the hype, it is a pretty tempting situation to be in.

I mostly stick to entertainment on this site, however this story has caught my attention, so I thought I'd share it with you.

"A local Weatherman in Bowling Green, Kentucky simulates drinking breast milk. WBKO-TV's Chris Allen then licks and grabs a fake boob. Sexual...all obscenity/harassment seems to be accepted and just a "laugh" at Gray Television, Inc."

This was in the tag of the original video file. Now I live in the area, and watch the show every day. I personally don't think this was aired. However, as a news person, he should know better than to do this stuff ON CAMERA. After all, WBKO is an ABC affiliate.

We do not know who leaked this video, but the comment in the tag about sexual obscenity and harassment leads me to believe it is an internal link...someone who has experienced that sort of thing.

Today we bring you the teaser poster for the upcoming James Cameron EPIC Avatar. Our sources have confirmed this as the official one-sheet teaser.

Our source wouldn't comment on the next photo, a leaked photo of the alien species from Avatar. The image may look distorted because of the stereo-style 3D effect the film is shot in.

We have also confirmed that James Cameron will be shooting in New Zealand for 31 days, starting in October. Unfortunately this will be shot on a closed set, on a sound stage. We still believe some stuff will leak out. it always does. And when it does, we give it to you.

Avatar comes out in 2009.

As of today, gamers who reserve Call of Duty 4 for the XBOX 360 at GameStop or EBGames will receive a code to get into the beta. If you have reserved the game previously, just go remind them you want your code.

The beta is a lot of fun, and will definately serve to hype you up for November.

Stores nationwide should have received their codes from Activision as of today. So go get yours already!

I've double checked, and as of right now it is just the brick and mortar stores. Each store received a pack of slips each with an individual code on it, and with about 100-150 codes per pack.

So it's safe to say these are available for a limited time only.

This demo is being advertised as XBOX 360 only, and is included on the game disk.



It sounds like a cheap attempt to sell one product by promising another...much like Crackdown and the Halo 3 Beta...

Anyways, this is from the current GameStop and EBGames marketing, which started going up yesterday. The white square next to the song names is the artist names, but they had to be whited out because the original artist won't be singing them.

In a recent store E-Mail sent out to all GameStop and EBGames locations in the US and territories, GameStop revealed some juicy nuggets of info regarding how Halo 3 will be shipped...and what will happen if the boxes are opened early.

According to the E-Mail, Halo 3 begins making it's way to stores as early as September 13th. By September 18th, all retail stores should have their copies. Not a huge surprise here though. Who DIDN'T expect this game to ship early?

The different versions will ship separately in boxes that don't say Halo anywhere on them. The E-Mail describes what the boxes will look like however, saying they will have distinctive stickers to point them out. I believe the box housing the Legendary has a sticker that mentions Helmets for example.

But here is the news worthy part. With leaks recently of Bioshock and Stranglehold for the 360 by retail chains, GameStop has decided to impose strict penalties for employees who open the shipping cartons before the midnight launch. If you break the tape, even if by accident, you will be fired on the spot. It doesn't matter if you are an hourly peon or the store manager...or even the district manager. If you break the tape, you will be fired.

I can't say I blame the organization for doing this, though I felt the accidental thing was a bit too far. I mean accidents happen, right? And just because you accidentally break the tape on the shipping carton doesn't mean you're gonna sell the game early, right? So I called GameStop corporate, and the lady on the other end confirmed just that. Even accidental cases of breaking the tape will be met with firing.

So there you have it. If you happen to get a copy this week, cause you know, they "fall off the truck" sometimes, I probably wouldn't play on Live. As tempting as it sounds, you may get a 9999 year ban for something that is the retailer/shipper's fault.

According to Shia LaBeouf on the MTV 2007 Music Video Awards, Indy 4 will be officially called:

"Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull"

This name has been around for a while, and one of the known trademarks for the upcoming film. Last night's "leak" by LaBeouf is nothing more than a confirmation in this case. The name sounds mighty campy, though I have to admit, so did "Attack of the Clones".

We can now confirm that the XB360 Fall dashboard update is not going to be live after today's update as was originally rumored. This confirmation comes from Major Nelson, who mentioned the downtime is in preperation for Halo 3 instead.

We are not sure of the date of the Fall dashboard, but it is expected sometime before the end of October.

Just in time for 9/11, we bring you fotage from Uwe Boll's Postal, a film that slaps 9/11 in the face once and for good! I really don't know what to think of this film. Is it genius? Is it trash? Is it both?

Uwe Boll goes all Troma on us with his vision of the video game Postal. I mean I seriously can't be the only one getting Kaufman vibes from this. At any rate, this is gonna be a love it or hate it film.

A quick browse of some of the comments on IMDB show that people who have already seen the film loved it...but I wonder if the hyper-sensitive American crowd can take it. Watch the first few minutes and see for yourself.
