Sony has just announced the much delayed and controversial Spider-Man origin reboot will finally arrive on July 3rd, 2012. Not only that, but it will be in RealD 3-D as well. Not surprising, seeing as 3-D is a growing trend to make fast cash for the movie companies in the face of internet piracy.

Whether or not Spidey swings through on this date is up in the air. Sony needs to act soon though, or they risk letting a decent money making franchise dry up.
