Captain Phil Harris of the Cornelia Maria, a fan favorite on the Discovery show "The Deadliest Catch", has died. Harris suffered a massive stroke whle at port in Alaska on Jan. 29th, and was rushed to Anchorage for emergency surgery.

This is another high profile death in the world of Discovery Channel reality shows. The first came late last year when the super awesome Billy Mays died halfway through the season of his show "Pitchmen".

While "Pitchmen" may have ended abruptly after Mays passed, all indications are that not only will the "Deadliest Catch" series continue, but Harris' sons will take over the Cornelia Marie.
