The Wachowski produced action epic NINJA ASSASSIN, shown at this last year's Comic-Con, is on it's way to theaters! We have been given a very vague June 1st 2009 release date, but our close source tells us the film may actually hit the US sooner, possibly mid-May.
For those living under a rock, this film is a Wachowski labor of love, much like the underrated "V for Vendetta". In fact, the same director is doing this film! Also returning to the Wachowskis is Korean pop idol Rain, who previously worked with them on the film "Speed Racer".

Since many people haven't been able to even load up the seriously slow and poorly designed Killzone 2 website, I decided to post this here. Ebolt recently wrote the following:
"Hey Killzone players! We launched a hotfix patch today and you guys might be wondering why we took out bots! Let me explain in FAQ form!
Online bots were cool, why take them out?
They were cool indeed! However, players started using them to 'pad' their stats and ranked up insanely quick. To prevent the entire community of doing so, we have temporarily removed them from Online. You can still play them in Skirmish mode!
Are you going to bring them back?
Yes we definitely are! This patch was a hotfix, meaning it was a quick and dirty temporary fix! We are hard at work for a proper fix and you will see Online bots return very soon!
Why didn't you prevent this from happening, you bunch of dutch idiots?
We did not test bots in the Public Beta and honestly, it bit us in the ass! My personal apologies!
What about people who already padded their stats?
We are investigating if we can rectify those accounts but I cannot say much about that yet. Keep checking this forum for updates!"
So there you have it. They admitted they didn't test this HUGE flaw in beta...WTF guys? Were your headsup your asses or what? Oh, and stat padded accts, beware! You are losing your stats!
Today, I break to you all another story regarding the overhyped PS3 game Killzone 2. Since the game's launch, numerous threads across the internet have erupted, with gamers claiming they cannot even play the game because it gives them motion sickness.
I have visited forums across the net, from Sony's own to GameFAQs and IGN. I have to say it is stunning how many people are reporting these issues.
"This is the first time in twenty years of gaming that a game has made me feel so badly that I have to stop playing it.The controls combined with the painful blur and framerate drops do a number on my head that lasts for an hour or more after I stop playing." describes one gamer.
Another gamer says "well, after playing the demo and getting simulation sickness from it again, I cancelled my preorder of KZ2. It's ridiculous that such a small, meaningless feature like head bobbing is forcing me to not play one of the biggest releases the PS3 will ever see."
This is obviously a serious issue with this game, one that needs to be fixed in order to save some of the credibility of it's overfluffed paid reviews.
UPDATE: We are also receiving reports of serious eye strain and sore eyes from these same threads across the net. I believe the two issues are connected. I am currently loking deeper into this.

I broke the story yesterday about how it was possible to get max rank in KZ2's multi-player in less than 5 hours. The method involved using bots in ranked online matches. Why bots were ever allowed in ranked matches to begin with is beyond me.
Today, Guerrilla Games released the following statement regarding the new patch that just went live.
"We’re disabling the ability to add bots to online games as a temporary measure against rank-up abuse. A permanent solution is forthcoming."
So those miffed at the game for this particular reason should be able to rest at ease.
So Killzone 2 has garnered quite an opening in terms of paid reviews. Metacritic shows a 91 at the moment, with a lot of paid magazines and sites giving it a perfect score. However, this game is definately not perfect. This is proof positive that most paid reviewers are nothing more than prostitutes...giving out favorable reviews for cash or prizes.
The issue lies in the fact that the game is simply not as good as the reviewers make it out to be, and the shame is, it's growing more and more evident to those who have gotten the game early. Here, I will lay out why this game does not deserve a perfect score.
1. The graphics. Yes, they are damn fine graphics...but this one aspect of the game is not enough to hold the whole thing up to a perfect score. Are they the best graphics ever? No. Blurry textures, some slowdown, and some clipping show that this game was a tad on the rushed side. Corners were cut to make the deadline.
2. The controls. Yes, they are "laggy" and unresponsive. GG has claimed this is intended, though a recent video released shows it is nothing more than sloppy development. See our article on the controls for more.
3. The length. Very short, even by FPS standards. I have witnessed with my own eyes a completion of the story at 4 hours 45 mins. This rivals Prey as one of the shortest FPS released.
4. The story. Very lacking, with very little to lead people into this game who have not played KZ1. Even those that did beat KZ1 may need a refresher depending on how long ago they played it. In this day an age a completely connected sequel needs to have some sort of cohesive lead in.
5. The voice acting. Worse than most B movies, though this is nothing new in the video game world. However, with a game of this "caliber", more attention should have been paid to production quality. Developer's wives/girlfriends do NOT make good voice actors. Sorry GG.
6. The multi-player. Severely lacking all around. A loose and easily exploitable ranking system top the bad issues with this aspect of the game (see out article with proof of the broken ranking). Obviously intended to be a slow paced tactical squad game online, instead players noobify themselves by going Rambo, then dying, therefore hurting your team. No one uses cover, everyone grenade spams. Some match types are over so fast you wonder if you actually just played a match. Generic and boring match types do nothing to help this situation either. Oh, and guess what? NO PARTY MAKING SYSTEM IN PLACE! WTF guys, this should be standard at this point.
Overall, this game feels very rushed, unfinished, unrefined. Fanboys and people paid to give good reviews will say otherwise, but this is not the shooter we were promised. It isn't even close. Maybe a few patches down the road, with a retail price drop and some DLC will change things a bit, but as it stands now, the multi-player in this game can't hold up to the likes of COD, Warhawk, Halo, and other modern online shooters. The single player experience just isn't long enough or fulfilling enough to warrant a $60 purchase, right in the middle of these hard economic times.
My opinion: PASS (or rent it...you'll beat SP before the game is even due back)
Well, like the title of this post says, Killzone 2's multi-player is somewhat lacking, with players being able to achieve the highest online rank in 5 hours or less. This is not the only issue with the multi-player, but definately something that is BROKEN and should be fixed.

So you've heard all the hype and hoola surrounding Killzone 2...but then you hear from people who aren't paid for their reviews that the controls suck ass. Who to believe? Well, I can guarantee you that the controls are faulty, and someone on YouTube helps solidify this fact in a very revealing video.
"The higher the deadzone, the further you have to move your sticks from their center to get them to register an action on screen. The lower you set it the more sensitive and responsive the sticks will become and the distance you have to move them from their center becomes little to none."
So the problem is with a faulty "dead zone". Watch the vid, play the demo, and see for yourself.
I know the site has been suffering from lack of updates. However, this is probably for the better. I was doing too much too fast and the content seriously suffered because of it.
Updates will resume, but don't expect such a flood of nonsense anyore. I just don't have the heart for it... And I'm not trying to be Perez Hilton either, so the gossip shit is gonna stop...for the most part anyways.

NOTE: in the remake trailer it says it was supposed to hit theaters in April 2007. After a whole year's delay, the film is now supposed to come out sometime in 2008. My guess is, direct to video.

According to Hollywood Reporter. Chow Yun-Fat will be playing the role of Master Roshi in the upcoming Dragon Ball film. He will be one of maybe 2 or 3 asians in a mostly white film based on a mostly asian (and some animal) anime/manga series.
While HR has the scoop on this tidbit, I have even more info to share with you. I have heard from my sources that Chow's role will be a small part, almost a cameo it will be so short. Chow is currently hard at work filming what is being called "a top secret Honk Kong film that will revive the action genre". And I guarantee it isn't DB they are speaking of.
This source also claims that Roshi will most likely die in the film, as Chow didn't seem interested in doing sequels.
Chow has also lined up a Stranglehold feature film with legendary director John Woo, and is also planning a new film with even more legendary Yuen Woo Ping. It is speculated that he will be working on Yuen's "The Hands of Shang Chi", bu not in the title role.

It turns out that several people had been secretly working late nights and into the wee hours of the morning preparing a special video for those at the party. They created a short teaser for Duke Nukem Forever.
After seeing the teaser we thought it was something we should share with all of you and while it's just a teaser, rest assured more is coming.
Tomorrow, Wednesday the 19th, around noon CST, we will release the first teaser trailer from Duke Nukem Forever."

So we all know that 50 Cent is a "G", a thug, a gangsta (not a wanksta) and that his "niggas kill for him". But I guess they also help him snort lines of coke to get juiced before a show...at least that is what the Croatian reporter who filmed the following video says.
Basically the gist of it all is that a rival TV station paid for the exclusive 50 Cent interview, but this reporter wasn't gonna let that happen. He weasels his way in the back, and into 50's dressing room, where he claims he caught them all doing lines of white powder on the table. He says he clearly saw the powder, and 50 with a straw to his nose hunched over it.
50's camp quickly shoos the cameras away, the door closes and a few seconds later, 50comes out to do an "interview". That is the story. 50 Cent, real name Curtis Jackson, claims there was no drug use going on in there. Well, they certainly were acting very suspicious, weren't they? And what was up with 50 looking around constantly like he was paranoid the cops were coming? We have confirmed with numerous sources that J.J. Abrams will indeed place the teaser trailer for the new Star Trek prequel in front of the much hyped "Cloverfield". January is now a big month for Abrams. New season of LOST, the premiere of Cloverfield, and the debut of Star Trek's teaser!
In other Trek news, they still say they are working Shatner into the film somehow. This remains to be seen.

Well, the first week of Dragon Ball shooting in Mexico is under way, and what we get from it are these somewhat dissapointing shots of Goku. Perhaps its me, but I was hoping for a lot more from this film. It doesn't even LOOK like Goku. And yes, I have confirmed that A.) This is Goku, B.) He is in costume....WTF!
However, it couldn't be much worse than the OTHER Dragon Ball film. Never heard of it? Check it out below, it's become somewhat of a cult classic...

This is not like the situation in which we leaked the Transformers trailer early, and the company decided to put it on the net earlier than anticipated. That is a section of the homepage of Slusho's "parent company". Notice I took you directly to the deep sea drilling page. Back on the official Slusho site, it was mentioned that Slusho's main ingredient comes from the bottom of the sea. Hence what these guys may be drilling for. Now look at all the inception dates of the drills. Notice anything? The drill closest to New York is the newest one.

Odd, right? Ok, so we know the ending of the film, the plot of the film, and the history of the company that caused the attack. so what about the monster itself? Our sources maintain that you never see the full monster in the film, just glimpses here and there captured by the shaky cam. Such as this, from the new trailer (click for the moving GIF!):

Then there is the ending. How bland and lame, I wished it WAS fake. Alas, it is not.

So it seems that the list we posted previously was indeed wrong. There is always that chance. However, to your delight, we now have a full list of features confirmed for Tuesday's update!
According to CNN/HN, this is the case. As the investigation into the discovery of dead little baby Grace panned out, the mother and her new hubby were arrested. Today, the mother admitted that her, and her husband whom she met online in WoW, beat and killed her.
Apparently her relationship with her daughter evaporated after she blindly moved across the country to be with this guy she met in World of Warcraft. She blamed the daughter, saying "she brought it on herself".
This is speculated to mean that the baby was acting up during one of her online gaming sessions, and she was beaten to death as a result. Psychiatrists expect her lawyers to make an insanity plea based on the fact that the woman was so consumed in the fantasy life of WoW, that she simply snapped when real life duties called.
So, was the woman warped by WoW? Or is this yet another case of scapegoating? This isn't the only case of child death and neglection related to an MMO. Only time will tell what the jury will find.
