Look, I don't care if Steve Miner is directing it. Really. I don't care if Mina (hotty) Suvari and Ving Rhames star in it. What the fuck was Steve thinking by not following the original film though? WHAT THE FUCK STEVE? Anyways, look below for the shitfest trailer, and below that a shot from the original.
NOTE: in the remake trailer it says it was supposed to hit theaters in April 2007. After a whole year's delay, the film is now supposed to come out sometime in 2008. My guess is, direct to video.
Enjoy these awesome set photos from the now wrapped Mummy 3, featuring an all-star cast! Jet Li, Michelle Yeoh, Wu Jing, Anthony Wong, Russel Wong, and that isn't even mentioning the western actors! This movie is going to be amazing!
Oh, and in case you didn't know, Wu Jing is one of the best martial artists you probably never heard of. check the link at the bottom of the page to see coverage of SPL, a film he did with the legendary Donnie Yen, and even more legendary Sammo Hung!
According to Hollywood Reporter. Chow Yun-Fat will be playing the role of Master Roshi in the upcoming Dragon Ball film. He will be one of maybe 2 or 3 asians in a mostly white film based on a mostly asian (and some animal) anime/manga series.
While HR has the scoop on this tidbit, I have even more info to share with you. I have heard from my sources that Chow's role will be a small part, almost a cameo it will be so short. Chow is currently hard at work filming what is being called "a top secret Honk Kong film that will revive the action genre". And I guarantee it isn't DB they are speaking of.
This source also claims that Roshi will most likely die in the film, as Chow didn't seem interested in doing sequels.
Chow has also lined up a Stranglehold feature film with legendary director John Woo, and is also planning a new film with even more legendary Yuen Woo Ping. It is speculated that he will be working on Yuen's "The Hands of Shang Chi", bu not in the title role.
"Last Saturday we had our annual company Christmas party. It was a lot of fun as usual but it featured one special surprise. It turns out that several people had been secretly working late nights and into the wee hours of the morning preparing a special video for those at the party. They created a short teaser for Duke Nukem Forever.
After seeing the teaser we thought it was something we should share with all of you and while it's just a teaser, rest assured more is coming.
Tomorrow, Wednesday the 19th, around noon CST, we will release the first teaser trailer from Duke Nukem Forever."
Who knows whether or not we ever see the game release. See the full story below.
So we all know that 50 Cent is a "G", a thug, a gangsta (not a wanksta) and that his "niggas kill for him". But I guess they also help him snort lines of coke to get juiced before a show...at least that is what the Croatian reporter who filmed the following video says.
Basically the gist of it all is that a rival TV station paid for the exclusive 50 Cent interview, but this reporter wasn't gonna let that happen. He weasels his way in the back, and into 50's dressing room, where he claims he caught them all doing lines of white powder on the table. He says he clearly saw the powder, and 50 with a straw to his nose hunched over it.
50's camp quickly shoos the cameras away, the door closes and a few seconds later, 50comes out to do an "interview". That is the story. 50 Cent, real name Curtis Jackson, claims there was no drug use going on in there. Well, they certainly were acting very suspicious, weren't they? And what was up with 50 looking around constantly like he was paranoid the cops were coming? We don't pretend to know the real story here, but we want you all to view the video and form your own opinions. Be sure to let us know those opinions below in our comments section!
oday we bring you the unveiling of the new version of KITT for the upcoming NBC TV show rehash KNIGHT RIDER! I have to admit, I didn't expect it to look like this. I really don't know what to think, really. Enjoy!
We have confirmed with numerous sources that J.J. Abrams will indeed place the teaser trailer for the new Star Trek prequel in front of the much hyped "Cloverfield". January is now a big month for Abrams. New season of LOST, the premiere of Cloverfield, and the debut of Star Trek's teaser!
In other Trek news, they still say they are working Shatner into the film somehow. This remains to be seen.
PS3 users were treated to their own firmware update to combat MS's recent dashboard update. PS3 users can now play DivX and WMV files. Oh, and check out the photo below. That's the great new visualizer for the PS3's music player. Press SQUARE during playback to get it. Yes, it rotates!
Ok, not really, but someone thought it would be funny to make this. I kinda laughed a little, because to me it represents how outrageous media coverage and fame have been lately. Anyways, enjoy this joke photo!
This is the teaser for Yuen Woo Ping and Rob Minkoff's Forbidden Kingdom starring Jackie Chan & Jet Li!
For those that don't know, this is based on the legendary story Journey to the West, which also inspired Dragon Ball. Also, check out our previous coverage of the film:
Well, the first week of Dragon Ball shooting in Mexico is under way, and what we get from it are these somewhat dissapointing shots of Goku. Perhaps its me, but I was hoping for a lot more from this film. It doesn't even LOOK like Goku. And yes, I have confirmed that A.) This is Goku, B.) He is in costume....WTF!
However, it couldn't be much worse than the OTHER Dragon Ball film. Never heard of it? Check it out below, it's become somewhat of a cult classic...
As we promised days ago, the Dark Knight trailer went on the web OFFICIALLY last night. This is not like the situation in which we leaked the Transformers trailer early, and the company decided to put it on the net earlier than anticipated. In this case, WB had planned on putting it up on Sunday anyways.
We aren't gonna host it here, as it is kinda redundant, but we will point you in the right direction!
Courtesy of Capcom and Sony Pictures, we bring you this awesome trailer for the upcoming original CG animated feature film, Resident Evil Degeneration! Looks amazing to me!
Leaked by Inside Edition on national television, this photo of Tom Cruise ultimately spoiled his surprise cameo in the upcoming Ben Stiller flick Tropical Thunder.
Needless to say, it's going to be very interesting regardless of the spoil.
You are all probably salivating and gyrating now that you've experienced the awesome trailer for Nolan's follow-up to his brilliant vision of Batman. But we aren't done yet. get ready for the other must see trailer of the year, THE MACHINE GIRL.
Wondered how J.J. Abrams' Star Trek cast will hold up to the old cast? Well I dunno about the acting, but looks to me like some of them fit the role dead on.
So you're amped about the new Dark Knight trailer, eh? Looks badass, right? Well how about we wet your proverbial panties one more time with these brand new shots of "TWO FACE" Harvey Dent? Oh, you like that, don't you, you dirty little nymph! Enjoy!
EDIT: I have confirmed that these are not real. Pretty convincing though. I'll leave them up as "fan art" lol.
By request of many of you viewers out there, we are gonna give you the video from the beautiful Korean singer Ivy that Square sued over. The reasons are obvious, as you will see below. We are also posting the same scene from Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children for comparison. Enjoy!
You knew it was gonna happen. Fresh from the midnight showing of "I Am Legend" is this new trailer for "The Dark Knight". Whoever did this has balls. Enjoy!
EDIT: I want to reiterate for the record, I did not record this myself. WB, if you're looking for the guy who shot it, it ain't me. In fact, it wouldn't be too hard to find out who it was, it wast he first copy posted on YouTube! But it wasn't me.
EDIT 2: Just as we promised, the trailer is officially up at the link below! Enjoy!
We have confirmed an official release is due on the net Sunday at the folowing site.
Today we continue our coverage of Cloverfield, the secret movie that's not so secret anymore. First, we invite you to see the previous article, linked below:
That is a section of the homepage of Slusho's "parent company". Notice I took you directly to the deep sea drilling page. Back on the official Slusho site, it was mentioned that Slusho's main ingredient comes from the bottom of the sea. Hence what these guys may be drilling for. Now look at all the inception dates of the drills. Notice anything? The drill closest to New York is the newest one.
Then this odd trailer on the Slusho site:
Odd, right? Ok, so we know the ending of the film, the plot of the film, and the history of the company that caused the attack. so what about the monster itself? Our sources maintain that you never see the full monster in the film, just glimpses here and there captured by the shaky cam. Such as this, from the new trailer (click for the moving GIF!):
And that is the gist of what you see of it.
Then there is the ending. How bland and lame, I wished it WAS fake. Alas, it is not.
What you see there is a call sheet for the final shot of the film, the "ending". Then to back it up, actual on set footage of those very events being filmed. I won't spoil it for those of you who don't want to know, but it has to do with the below screen from the film's newest trailer:
Then the blow. PG-13. Welllet's hope this move helps the film instead of hurting it. However, it has hurt other horror films in the past such as AVP. Horror movie without gore? Kinda. Look at the blow photo:
Well we know the woman explodes, but we don't see it. Just the shadow. There is your gore, sickos lol.
Anyways, J.J. was kind enough to give out an exclusive 5 minute scene from the film. Make of it what you will.
Again you see a glimpse of the beast. Anyone else thinking Gamera here?
Well, that is it for now. For more coverage, see us back here or at any of the links we've covered in the past!
So it seems that the list we posted previously was indeed wrong. There is always that chance. However, to your delight, we now have a full list of features confirmed for Tuesday's update!
According to CNN/HN, this is the case. As the investigation into the discovery of dead little baby Grace panned out, the mother and her new hubby were arrested. Today, the mother admitted that her, and her husband whom she met online in WoW, beat and killed her.
Apparently her relationship with her daughter evaporated after she blindly moved across the country to be with this guy she met in World of Warcraft. She blamed the daughter, saying "she brought it on herself".
This is speculated to mean that the baby was acting up during one of her online gaming sessions, and she was beaten to death as a result. Psychiatrists expect her lawyers to make an insanity plea based on the fact that the woman was so consumed in the fantasy life of WoW, that she simply snapped when real life duties called.
So, was the woman warped by WoW? Or is this yet another case of scapegoating? This isn't the only case of child death and neglection related to an MMO. Only time will tell what the jury will find.
I will start by saying I am a huge fan of the series. I have owned every single game in this series, including Metropolis Street racer for the Dreamcast. Yes, that was technically the first PGR.
Now just because I owned them all and enjoyed them all doesn't mean I am biased. In fact, I was quick to admit problems with the previous games. But I didn't let those problems stop me from enjoying the games.
A review is basically an opinion, and it's my opinion that this game is the best the series has put out. It's not just all the additions and tweaks to car control. It's not just the cool achievements, nor the great unlockable system. It's really got everything.
Graphics have vastly improved. High poly models, great lighting and weather effects, and a blazing framerate really make this game shine visually. The only deterrent are the "jaggies" a lot of people are experiencing. Of course there are also others that claim to see none at all. I too have them, on an LCD in 720p. What I did t make it better was switch the reference level in the 360 settings to Standard. I had previously only used Enhanced, and it generally worked fine. Setting it to standard has actually improved the jaggie problem for me, and allows me to enjoy the visuals that much better.
The sound is amazing as well. All the car and bike sounds are spot on. The atmospheric sounds like thunder are also done well. Those with 5.1 or higher will really get a kick out of the positional sound. The soundtrack is frickin huge, but it has a lot of stuff on it you most likely have never heard, and probably will turn off. Some gems include Incubus, Disturbed, and My Chemical Romance, but if none of it is to your liking, you can always just use your own stuff.
I think the main point of discussion for this game are the controls. This is gonna be a split issue for a long time. Some love it, some hate it. I love it. The controls have been tweaked to make the game more balanced, due to the addition of motorcycles. This is mainly tweaks to cornering and drifting. I think the balance is great. Do you hate the motorcycles? Not me! In fact, I find myself using them more than cars because nothing corners like a superbike. That's not to say that cars can't corner well too. And there will be the debate. Which is better, cars or bikes? I personally love both, but I'm gonna "side" with bikes. Whichever you side with, there are a crapload of vehicles for you to race in.
The game has a lot of content to go through. A career mode, arcade mode, and online modes as well. Anything varying from cone sprints and knockdowns to hot laps to straight up racing are what you can expect. You will also gt challenges that pop up, and the prize is unlocking a car. You can also unlock cars in packs from the PGR shop with the Kudos you've earned. You can also unlock outfits for your driver, and even a multi-player mode! Lots of stuff to unlock means you'll be playing it for a while.
Then there are those awesome "puzzle" achievements. Like the one where you have to drive a Delorean at over 88mph during a thunderstorm a la "Back to the Future". These neat and quirky achievements add to a whole set of great achievements. Though there are online achievements as well, and I know some of you out there hate those.
Overall, I think this is definitely a step forward for the series. The shame is, people are so enamoured with Halo at the moment that they probably won't even blink PGR4's way. In fact, a lot of people on my friend list didn't even know it was out yet. This game deserves to be played, and that is why our final verdict is:
Now that Halo 3 is out, I haven't done much else but play it. This is aying something, because the last two didn't "grab" me like this one did.
Rather than give yet another review set somewhere in the 9's, I'll just share some of my favorite screenshots! Bungie's new theater feature is one that should be put into all action games. I have had so much fun messing with the films and screens. Whether it is a replay from an awesome multi-player match, or me just goofing off in single player, it has been great fun. Here are some of mine.
The fact is, Joe picked the wrong time to take a smoke break!
When Harry's grenade met Sally's grenade...
John Woo style bitches!
Bob took the song "I believe I can fly" literally.
There you have it. If you'd like to see the rest of my screenshots, or anything else I've been doing in Halo 3, visit my Bungie.Net profile at the link below!
As of a few minutes ago, XBL went down hard. All access was shut off, including access through XBOX.com. Major Nelson's site hosted by MS is also down.
So was the major traffic influx of Halo 3's launch day to blame? I mean they did triple server capacity to avoid this very thing. Microsoft says "no comment". Uh huh...
More on this as it breaks!
UPDATE: XBL appearsto be back up in some capacity. Bungie.Net only lists 3,000 people on Halo 3 right now, but i am not sure if their site has accurate readings. XBOX.com is still not allowing access to Live features.
UPDATE 2: MS has acknowleged that the servers are having trouble, but still don't admit to the full crash that happened. Servers are slowly making their way back up, so while some people will be able to connect, stats, matchmaking, etc may be unavailable for a while. From my investigation, the majority of the servers are still down.
If you watched G4's Halo special, or checked out any other footage of events, you may have noticed people dressed as Spartans. Some bought the outfit. Some made it from scratch.
The guy pictured below showed up at the launch in Bowling Green, KY. I know the poor guy had to be hot in there, but he was really nice and took pictures with everyone who asked. He made it from scratch using custom moldings, and was the "star" of the launch here.
So we want to hear your stories, see your pictures. Any Cosplayers show up in your area? Send us the pic. Or just post a link in the comments thread.
